"We have a 2007 Island Packet Sailboat. We have owned our boat for almost 8 years, and before that we owned several other sailboats. We've always had a slight musty odor in our boats , especially when we haven't been on board for any length of time. We assumed that this is a normal occurrence, and it's something we have lived with and gotten used to. We also have always had small amounts of mildew on the walls, and in the slots of the louvered doors, among other areas of the cabins. This was also something we assumed went along with being on the water.
Several times a year we would take everything apart and thoroughly clean every surface. This lasted a few months, and helped. But there was always that lingering smell.
About 6 months ago we hired Cruise Cool to come in and do a cleaning of our air conditioning ducts. It took pretty much all day, and it's the best decision we could have made. As I said it's been about 6 months, and everything is still as clean as it was when it was just done.
No mildew has come back on any of the surfaces, and the air coming out of the vents smells clean and fresh. If we have had the boat closed up, and the air conditioning off it only takes a few minutes for everything to feel fresh and clean.
So glad we decided to go ahead and try this new process. It will become part of our regular maintenance. But for now after 6 months it seems like we won't need it for at lease another 6 months.

"I had a brand-new boat only a few months old and my Refrigerator was not cooling. My Chart plotter was also not working so I called ShipTronics to fix it.
Scott the owner came and scheduled a repair for me. They did a great job and had to get me a replacement for my Raymarine unit. ShipTronics also gets a 5 Star Rating from me. My boat is docked at the Esplanade Marina on Marco Island and I needed service quickly.
ShipTronics recommended Cruise Cool. When I called, I spoke to Darsey who was very nice and understanding of my short time frame before I was moving my boat and sent her techs immediately to diagnose the problem. They needed to pull out the refrigerator bring it to their shop and order parts to repair it.
They pushed everyone to get it repaired and re-installed in my boat quickly. They went above and beyond what most service companies would do to help.
